dis week...

ok dis update post is wayy overdue. dis wk...

firstly, i'ld lyk to thx all of ya hu haf wished mi well 4 my TOK representation, esp kh hus help n advice was invaluable, thx man, i owe u one. even though i dunno e result, i dun tink i fared dat badly la. okie, mani of u r askin how e presentation went, so yah, i'll juz sum it up briefly. dat dae, mondae, was quite a waste cos we had 2hr 20mins of free period first thing in e morn rite after chapel, n if not 4 dis presentation i would've asked everyone to go play soccer )= but yah, thx to some classmates hu kept encouraging us, we went down to eat, came up, den played 2 rounds of bridge b4 e guys told mi to stop n go over my presentation. so mi n my partner did, though we realized it was too long n would go over e time limit. furthermore, in e morn rush to get to skool (damn, my dad always, ALWAYS rushes mi n my sis even though in e end we get to skool on time, n usuali earlier den e dae b4 where we woke up late, but yah, sighz, dats my dad) i 4got to bring my laptop charger )= so we went down to e library to edit e ppt onli to find out dat we couldnt print due to network probs. so we used e coms to edit, n thxfully isaac was in living waters methodist church which used e skool compound 4 its services on sundae, so we were able thru his links to borrow e printer in e church office to print out e revised script. whew. okie, fine. now's my turn to flop. initially i deleted e animation to all e bullet pts. okie. after e library n everything, i realized in e script a pt which i wanted to sae was under e wrong slide, n tot e pt on e ppt was also on e wrong slide, so i quickly borrowed ronald's mac (yes dere's a pun, but hey, almost everyone in e class seems to own an apple) to look thru e slides n edit it, but thxfully e prob was onli in e script which was probably a mistake committed when we were rushing to edit e slides. urgh, i tink i musta did sth though, cos durin e presentation when we first opened e slides e 2nd n 3rd slides were mixed up, n l8r on to my HORROR, e animation was dere. so i was DAMN SCARED dat e edits werent saved n dis was an old version, as e animation was still dere. thxfully it wasnt, though its veh weird. mebbe e mac did sth, cos i def did not do anything to reset e animation for e bullet pts...
neways durin e presentation, my 'brilliant' partner hus parts were first spent too much time on his parts n caused mi to rush n eventually cut short my parts, effectively cutting short my score too (e crappy thing is we're graded individually, so yah, in dis case tok time is impt) though in e end i tink i made up for it by e Q & A (= a hell lot. thxfully. so presentation over.

a few pts to note abt dat dae. we werent e onli ones wif technical difficulties. shane almost couldnt open his ppt cos sth was wrong, tried opening it on bose's laptop onli 4 it to claim dat his files r infected by a virus. quite scary, but luckily as shane's last, he went to e library etc to try n rectify e prob, eventually managing to open it on one of e panelist's coms. but besides dat, it was quite slack, as we were e first to present, n l8r on were veh bored. thxfully, bose was joker enuff to play dota against ai coms on his laptop durin e 2nd half of e presentations (his grp was 2nd, juz after us) n us sitting behind him watchin his game had a field dae criticizing his lousy dota skills :p

hmmm,tues was okie, e highlight of e dae was pe where instead of doin e usual run e pe teacher decided to let us haf some fun n we all trooped up to e indoor air conditioned tennis courts. i mean, air conditioned!!! woot! okie, besides e indoor tennis courts, e new sports block has showers wif hot water (located juz beside e new squash courts). shirok! neways baq to e story, yah, we played vball wif dis BEEEG pink exercise ball! (yes angie, pink n cute n very beeg squishy ball, bet u'ld love it if u were arnd) one thing, though, e ball was not dat soft n if u tried to wack it wif one hand lyk wad i did initially, ur arm, esp ur wrist, will hurt lyk hell )= oh well, dats tues.

weds had maths n phy test )= also had tuition cancelled by tuition teacher n piano lesson (piano's on thurs, phy tuition on wed) pushed baq to fri afternoon (= had fencing trg too but was quite tired, trg lyk s*** bleahx. haf ta bring equipment next lesson. 2 new members,both gals, surprisingly, mgs, one of dem quite cute :P damn, y din i at least being my cool visor mask? also 4got to bring my glove dat dae cos i was rushed in e morn )= urghhhhhh... thxfully though, i din get blisters.

thurs. founders dae! okie, went to skool, almost late as usual, but as it was raining, i was wonderin wad was e plan as dey din brief us on any wet weather plan (dere was a parade to be held!). so yah, first went up to e new audi, onli to find NO ONE DERE! lyk, wth is my class??? so okie, walked arnd abit, bumped into liz hu also was clueless as to where our class is, l8r on she called someone hu told her e teacher (i dun wanna name names laaa) announced over e pa system dat all students r to wait in e sac (student activity centre, aka canteen, its juz a funkier name, or mebbe its called dat way cos its e onli 1 in s'pore to be air-coned?:P) till further details abt wad to do. so i went in to get my bag, came out, liz was gone. nvm la, called haoyi hu said dat everyone was in class. went to class, everyone was doin nth, apparently dey din haf a single deck of cards n were waiting 4 mine. LOL, i mean, wad a disappointment! juz a few daes ago dere were 3 decks of cards in class! apparently e owners of e decks all brought theirs home at e same time, except dey all 4got to bring theirs again todae except mi... okie played a few games, den e announcement 4 us to proceed to e artifical turf n follow e usual plan was sounded over e pa system, so we went down, despite e light drizzle. in e end, e omnious black clouds which still hung overhead despite being dere an hr alrdy (dey must be reali bored...) started pouring again, n all of us started opening umbrellas. was quite nice, cos we all huddled under 3 umbrellas (1 frm some guy, 2 frm ronald, i mean, 2???!! hu brings 2?! nvm, thxfully he did). n yah, when e rain got heavier, we were urshered quickly to e nearest block where we proceeded to e audi. except 4 e contingent members hu had ta endure e rain in their lovely starched uniforms now wet, polished boots shining wif a layer of raindrops, n creased berets all soaked. oh well, kudos to dem 4 braving e elements.

though while walking quickly into skool so i wun melt in e rain i did note dat dis is e first founder's dae in 6 yrs where it was washed out. nv frm sec 1 till now in e skool haf i exp a founders dae parade where it washed out. e other daes did, npcc dae washed out a few times, national dae celebrations washed out b4 too, so did honours dae when dey presented all e awards on e same dae. but not founders dae. oh well, so much 4 our last yr in e skool.

neways in e audi we noted dat dis was e first event dat dis class has a full attendance, aka, NO ONE PONNED!!! lyk, AMAZING! n dis was all thx to our guest of honour 4 dis yr's founder's dae, mr chiam see tong. dats rite, our old boy n opposition mp of potong pasir was coming to give a speech todae, which generated much hype when e news was first announced, esp amoung e class some of whom alrdy went tog last yr to e opposition rally to watch n listen to wad new stuff dey haf to sae. i mean, it is interesting to see how dey attempt to garner for votes. neways e speech was quite a disappointment, hardly any political stuff behind it, if any at all )= boring. urgh. we were all expecting something wif more political overtones. oh well...

e rest of e stuff went as usual, except dat we din noe yeong wei won an award for his academics, lyk, wth, we're his classmates n he din even tell us???!!! but we still gave him a standing ovation which he din notice cos his back was turned while receiving e medal frm e guest of honour.

after dat, despite e looming chem test on fri which e other classes took on wed n, after taking e test, came to my class n politely informed us to expect to get at most a 0 for e test. lyk, wth, is e test dat hard??????? everyone was saying studying e notes n not studying at all wun make much diff... bleahx. thx God i din listen to dem, as e test todae was okie la, though whether i pass or not, dats a diff story, but i def wun get juz 0 for e test!!! (no, i wun get neg marks either) okie, neways, despite e chem test, we went out for lunch @ carls junior n bowling l8r on at marina square. usual stuff la, had fun, though its a pity dat so few class pple went (9 pple total includin myself, 6 frm our class, 3 frens frm other classes also tagged along). also a pity dat its e chem test e next dae if not we woulda gone 4 a movie n done more stuff as well )= one thing though, did see alotta grps of acjc pple arnd, also taking full advantage of e early dismissal to hold class outings. wheee... my sis was out at orchard too wif her class.

fri, well, nth much, took e test first thing in e morn )= also got informed to bring e fencing trophy tmr as dere will be foto taking. got my own trg frm 7-8 plus den skool trg frm 9-11. damn siong... urgh. will be sleeping early tonite i guess, since amy's not free to go shop wif mi )= oh yah, 4 those of ya dat got baq e A lvl results, congrats if ya did well! if ya din do well, cheer up yah? smile (= or mebbe =), depending on whether u lyk tilting ur head to e rite or left. off course pple might give ya dis 0.o but dats beside e pt.
